A year and a half has passed since the release of the Pebble smartwatch, and Pebble has just announced its next version of the Pebble at the 2014 CES: The Pebble Steel. This Pebble is smaller and thinner than the previous model, and has two versions, both made of CNC machined stainless steel.
Pebble Steel options include Black Matte and Brushed Stainless versions, and both include a matching metal band and black leather strap. This Pebble will not include a lot of software updates and will still be made with a black and white E-Paper display, as well as the same waterproof and battery life specs.
A couple new additions to the stainless steel and smaller size are a Gorilla Glass screen, anti-fingerprint coating and an RGB LED charge indicator.
The Pebble Steel is now available for purchase at a price of $249 and will come with free shipping. Pebble Steel units will begin being shipped on January 29.
